Senior Section

The Senior Section is for young women aged between 14 and 26 years. As a member of the Senior Section you could be a Ranger or a Young Leader. All members of the Senior Section can follow the "Look Wider" programme enabling them to try out some of the following:

Develop survival skills
Survey environmental problems
Make contact with a group abroad
Learn a craft from another country
Learn a foreign dance
Learn about car maintenance
Undertake DIY projects
Beauty treatments
Learn about drug mis-use
Attention an International Opportunities weekend
Learn to be more assertive

Young Leaders are aged between 14 and 18 years and they play an important part in Guiding working with either Rainbows, Brownies or Guides. They are there to advise and help the younger members of Guiding and also help the Guiders run their units.

Young Leaders have meetings to discuss ideas of what we have been doing and to encourage each other through the "Making it Count" scheme, where Young Leaders are able to take part in many activities working either on their own, with other Young leaders or as part of her unit team.

When members of the Senior Section are 18 they become adult leaders.
